Sbarro in Baltimore

I have been trying to make a habit to write more songs more frequently. “Sbarro in Baltimore” is a simple tune I wrote while on a business trip.

If you’d like to listen or download on bandcamp you can do that.

Sbarro in Baltimore

Halfway to Sbarro
at a food court in Baltimore
I swear I saw you ordering a drink.
Even though it wasn’t you
I pretended that it was
and kinda wandered off into a dream

I remember the way that you lean when you go
diggin through your purse looking for a little dough
I wanted to draw you in and
kiss you like the last ten years had never been

I’ll be back tomorrow
on the mountains where we live
stumbling up the driveway with my things
And though I know it wasn’t you
I’m glad I saw you there
Kinda made me see how it could be

I remember the way that you lean when you laugh
rocking on your chair, looking for a knee to slap
I wanted to draw you in and
kiss you like the last ten years had never been
kiss you like the last ten years had never been
