Block sanding and stripe painting

Block sanded the first coat of clear on Space Mission. It’s pretty nerve racking to sand away at the surface I have so meticulously touched up over the past weeks. I stopped several times to wipe down with naptha to make sure I wasn’t cutting into paint. I think I could have gone down further but I got nervous. Tonight I’ll use a dropper to fill the endless valleys. In the photo above, the valleys are the glossy parts. I still have high hopes for this playfield although I know it won’t be perfect.

For Big Guns I taped up stencils for two of the three stripes. They look overly bright in these phone photos, but the stripes match the light green from playfield and cabinet, and a light blue that matches the playfield. The last stripe will be the darker green that matches the translite and cabinet stripes. I am excited about how this is turning out!
