Cleaning the Space Mission playfield

Tonight I thoroughly cleaned the Space Mission playfield with naphtha and a microfiber towel.

This playfield has a lot of wear. Clearly the previous owner played with a pitted rusty ball for many years and there was very little wax to clean up so it has been unprotected for a long time.

I’m not sure whether I should try to restore parts of it first or just buff, polish, wax and play. I’m leaning toward the latter, but there are a couple of places I’m going to paint for sure.

I’m not in a huge rush with this rehab project because I still need to order some parts for it. I’ll be rebuilding the pop bumpers and flippers too before I put it all back together.
