LED’d under the playfield and in the backbox. Cleaned the entire playfield with naphtha, then cleaned with novus 2 and then wiped down with naphtha again and a dry towel. Playfield looks really good so now it’s time to wax. I’ll be putting some new mylar down in a couple of areas – the sanctum of course and also the lane leading to the mode start saucer. I just want to protect these places that have seen wear (though nothing through the paint yet) before they do start wearing through.
Now that I’ve got it looking this good I am thinking of ordering purple star posts. And I really want the color dmd.
I have been playing a ton of Sinbad and it’s kicking my butt. I’ve reached a ceiling in my score until I build some more skills. I’ve got to be more ready to do a slap save because the ball goes straight down the middle a lot of times when slow dropping from the spinner. I did two tonight and it felt great but if I practice I will end up doing two or three a ball. The other thing I need to figure out is how to nudge to avoid the outlines. This would save me a lot of balls. Next I need to get better at hitting the left arch that leads back to the top rollover lanes. When those lanes are lit they score a lot or award extra ball. This machine is really pushing my skill!
