Haven’t had much time to work on Team One this week, but i’ve been pulling stuff off the playfield and managed to get most all the metal pieces in the tumbler to clean/polish them. I’m planning on giving this the full EM PERFECTION treatment, so i’m looking ahead at many tens of hours rebuilding and cleaning all the relays and light sockets. My general EM philosophy has always been “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” but after the weekend with Nic i’m going to approach this one in a more methodical “fix all of it” manner. One reason is because there are so many problems to start with, it would be pretty silly to hunt each one down and end up with a half-ass rebuild of 80% of the machine. There are so few complicated mechanisms on this machine, it only makes sense to do it all right.

This is the machine we plan to retheme – and i’ve been considering the different ways we might get all the playfield art printed. There’s a really cool new product in pinball world that is a hardtop overlay (printed on the backside) and i am trying to see what the price of a one-off print on that material would be. Without a doubt, the re-theme playfield and backglass art is going to be expensive. I just want it to be awesome too!
