In 2008 I started looking for weirder source photos to work from, as I was wanting to branch out from all the normal fruit and veg. This painting came from a photo I found on the internet of a strangely grown cucumber. One of my all time favorite Grocer paintings. I believe this was on North Ave, just west of Damen.
