My buddy Peabe had an idea to do a collab for a show he was putting together. I painted the eggplant first and then he came in with the pinup character. The opening of this show was the first time I ever met folks as “The Grocer” and it was the beginning of the end of my anonymity, and thus the beginning of the end of The Grocer.
